The Texas Department of Public Safety has required that all original and renewing commissioned security officers and personal protection officers complete the MMPI-III. The MMPI-III is a personality test that consists of 335 true/false questions, which takes between one and two hours to complete. The Legacy Assessment Group has been offering this service, which can be completed virtually, to prospective applicants. The fee for this service, which we retrieve at the end of this process, is $207. Upon receipt of a referral, we will issue a consent form for an evaluation and a link to take the MMPI-III. Following a completed examination, we are then scheduling a virtual clinical interview, which should last between 10 and 15 minutes. Upon a successful completion of this process, candidates will be provided with a signed form, which is to be submitted to TOPS.
